MAAT
Noun = refers to the ancient Egyptian concepts of truth, balance, order, harmony, law, morality and justice. Maat was also the goddess who personified these concepts, regulated the stars and the seasons.
Maat was created in 2020 as a response to periods of ‘self-isolation’ during the COVID-19 pandemic. We began to clearly understand the importance of maintaining a balanced life; its value and place to promote positive mental and emotional well-being. We saw the essential need to keep up daily exercise routines, practice daily mindfulness and meditation rituals to foster a sense of order and promise of happiness. During this time, we became aware of the profound impact Art has on us as individuals and its importance in society. Maat understands that Art is a spiritual language, it has the power to heal, inspire, provoke, challenge and most importantly offer home.
Maat is here to help inspire wellness in the community, to bring about a sense of order, balance, and beauty to your life. We are committed to creating more consciousness into your life, to help raise your energy field and vibrational frequency. Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, rhythm, and harmony.

The ancient Egyptians believed strongly that every individual was responsible for his or her own life and that life should be lived with other people and the earth in mind. In the same way that the gods cared for humanity, so should humans care for each other and the earth which they had been provided with.
Our yoga mats are manufactured from natural tree rubber that is sustainably sourced in Malaysia by a process called rubber tapping. this process keeps the trees alive and can be reused for years.
Natural rubber is also a healthier choice as it does not contain harmful substances such as PVC, TPE, EVA and NBR which can release harmful chemicals during production, when in use, and when disposed of. Natural tree rubber is recyclable and biodegradable, unlike PVC which leaves a heavy footprint on our world.

MAAT uses ONE recycled cardboard box to both package and ship our product. We don’t believe in excessive packaging or excessive wastage. This reduces material consumption and transportation emissions.
Elimination of single-use plastic in our packaging materials. MAAT uses cornstarch packaging materials that are both biodegradable and recyclable.
